i'll be at the uc san francisco breast care center tomorrow checking out a lump. today, i picked up my old mammogram + ultrasound films in berkeley from alta bates to take to my ucsf appointment. i wrote the radiologist the following note on a copy of his report that my breast cancer lump was not a tumor. "i hope you'll be more careful when reading tests of breastfeeding mothers. my lump was an invasive ductal carcinoma tumor that grew to 10x8cm, because i thought it was a benign cyst, because of your findings. i had a mastectomy + chemo + i'm lucky to be alive."
